Attending therapy sessions is a very good opportunity to learn ways to support your child’s development. Therapy games or activities that the child can carry out at home or in the school environment can be repeated between sessions to work towards the child’s targets.

I believe that working as part of a multi disciplinary team is essential to a child’s progress, I am more than happy to liaise with any other professionals such as teaching staff, SENCo’s, Occupational Therapists, Educational Psychologists. If necessary I can provide resources and information for school or home.

You will be invoiced every half term and you can pay via online transfer. Payment details can be found in the invoice.

You can cancel a session up to 24 hours in advance, however please contact me as soon as possible if you know you will not be able to make the session. If your child is unwell you may cancel the session at any time.

I comply with the Data Protection Act (1998). Any paper information that I keep with client information on it is stored in a locked cabinet or scanned to electronic version and stored on my password-protected computer. On request I can send confidential information via email using password protection to maximise security.

I happily liaise and work alongside NHS health professionals as I believe this supports best outcomes for the child. This is also the approach recommended by the RCSLT (professional regulatory body).

Your child will receive Speech and Language Therapy targets each term. These will be reviewed regularly throughout the term and adjusted as necessary. At the end of each term your child will receive a short summary report reviewing current targets and outlining future targets.
